Old Town

(Spell check isn't working so excuse my bad spelling.)

We liked the old town in centeral Barcelona so much that we went back today. The subway system here is wonderful. It's funny because we were able to use the subway here easier then we could in NYC. It is really brilliant how they did it. Easy to use, even with the language difference. It's clean and feels very safe. I actually feel very safe is Barcelona. Because of Siesta time everyday, the people here stay up late and the streets are full until about 2 am, then all of the sudden everyone disapears and most of the lights go out.

We have grown fond of this area and are sad to be leaving tomorrow. Right now I wonder if anything can compair to Barcelona. Hehe. We'll see. Rome is tomorrow.

The buildings here are just amazing. They are maintained very well. The whole city is very clean.
We found this pretty amazing... they have torn down the whole building, (which is huge, this is just a part of it) and left the front and sides of original standing. It was a site to see.

Side of "Catedral de Barcelona"

Front of "Catedral de Barcelona" It is under repair and we didn't go into it, but it is quite amazing to see. It is so big that I couldn't possibly get a picture of the whole thing. I didn't have enough room to back up far enough.

Me shopping the streets.

The base of ONE of the Christopher Columbas monuments. The stone work in Barcelona is amazing. So much details.
