Rome and Vatican

It was SOOO hot in Rome. Vienna would become very uncomfortable and cry so we tried to keep her in the hotel between 2-5 pm, when the heat was at it's highest. Kyle would go out and explore while she napped. Most of these he took himself. I just edited. He did great!

One evening we came across Rome's Disney store and Vienna wanted to carry her own bag. She is a shopper! She loves looking in the windows of the stores.

This is the ruins of an Emperor's Palace, the circle area was his personal sleeping quarters.

This was the baths and sauna area.

Our tour guy was talking about the marble in Rome and made a comment that the Vatican claimed allot of these older Romain ruins, among others, and striped them if the marble and gold. (I am saying it nicer then he did.)

During one of Vienna's naps, Kyle went to the Vatican. I have only been in the one Church posted earlier and I thought that won was decorated from floor to ceiling, it was a bit much for my tastes.... anyways, Kyle said that the Vatican made that church look like nothing in comparison.

I guess a pope is tombed here, Kyle wasn't supposed to take pictures and was quickly shooed away.
